I found this egg in the chicken coop yesterday. It is a "normal" egg that is encased by a much larger and brittle shell and surrounded by albumen/egg white. You never know what delights await you in the coop!
That IS strange! I'm glad it came out okay; I had a chicken die this week that I'm sure was egg bound.

Yes....I use "delights" in the broadest sense of the word! Sometimes things are less than savory.
Very odd. I've had some bizarre ones too, but nothing like THAT!
